A-102

To provide effective counters against the increasing number of stealth aircraft that were taking to the sky in droves, the Imperium developed a flying radar station. Based off of the An-102 platform.

1 AIRCRAFT

Main Armament[]

The A-102 is equipped with a massive rotating Vega-U AESA X-band radar to find targets in the air and on the surface. It can detect an F-16V at a distance of 750 kilometers, while destroyers (Enigma-class ships need not apply) can be found at 500 kilometers. It can directly relay its radar data to a maximum of 24 aircraft. In addition, the AESA can act as a ECM projector as well- jamming radars and finding hostiles at the same time.

Upgrades[]

A) L-Band AESA Array Equip the A-102 with tack-on N036B-1-01B L-band AESA radars to improve the aircraft's detection and IFF capability. Also makes the aircraft less prone to being blinded by X-band jammers.

Armor[]

The A-102 is equipped with Chaff and flares, as well as a basic DRFM jammer. The A-102 also packs a massive multiband radar jamming station to prevent AAMs and SAMs from finding their targets.

Powerplant[]

The A-102 uses four Lotarev D-21T triple-shaft high-bypass turbofan engines, each pushing out a massive 82,000lb of thrust. This provides the A-102 with the capability to fly 72-hour stints at 900 kilometers per hour, cruising at 60,000 feet.
