The standard manpower/material-mover in the proper GAC armed forces.

Crew Composition[]

  • Driver
  • Gunner
  • Bench, 6 passengers
  • Bench, 6 passengers

Sensory[]

Eyes and ears, behind bulletproof windows.

Upgrades[]

None.

Armament[]

M2 Browning (1)[]

The Basilisk is armed with a single M2 Browning. It fires the big, old .50 caliber round that is quite effective in smashing through brick walls or ballistic armor. However, it is manually operated, and only carries a box magazine with 100 rounds before a reload is required.

Upgrades[]

Firepower Kit[]

The Basilisk can get a much larger weapons mount that carries an M2 alongside an Mk.19 GMG. It also encases the mount and the hatch in an armored turret. This improves firepower against infantry and light vehicles, especially against light structures.

Protection[]

Basilisks (“Hatewagons”) are made from aluminum, providing the occupants with protection from small-arms fire. Anti-material rounds, RPGs, or mines are a completely different story.

Upgrades[]

Survival Kit[]

For enhanced survival of both the vehicle and its occupants, the Basilisk can get bolt-on RHA panels and an on-board medical kit. This allows the vehicle to survive anti-material rounds and the crew/passengers to heal while inside.

Mobility[]

The Basilisk operates off of a refurbished Detroit Diesel 6V53T 6-cylinder engine. This allows the vehicle to reach highway speeds—barely—and maintain good off-road capability.

Upgrades[]

None.
