Combat Engineers

During the arms build-up, the UEC realized that it would need power-assisted engineers to carry around their kits, which had simply exploded in size as they got more and more non-frontline duties assigned to them.

Which resulted in OWS making powered armor specifically for engineers.

4 Men/ Squad

Capacity[]

Combat Engineers can carry a plethora of engineering equipment in its mechanically supported backpack compartment. A typical Engineer carries wielding equipment, a 3D printer, a shovel, a vast array of mechanical tools, and a pickax. This allows it to effectively preform every non-combat duty that the UEC Army requires, from field repair of damaged vehicles to salvaging equipment to constructing field defenses.

Sensors[]

Visor-shielded eyeballs, helmet-muffed ears.

Weaponry[]

ASCAR-III (4)[]

The third generation of the ASCAR is the latest development of the ASCAR family that came into existence in WW3. The ASCAR-III is a gas-operated 8mm x 50mm assault rifle that has a free-floating 16' barrel and a Milkor Rail above the handle/ ironsights of the weapon. It also has a retractable and folding stock, which makes it convenient for Combat Engineers to stow their weapons. A variety of add-on accessories like Eotech optics, magnifiers, red dot sights, laser pointers, flashlights, and grips are available for each weapon.

Upgrades[]

Weaponry[]

EOD and Demolition[]

Combat Engineers need specialized equipment to preform explosives dismantling and demolition of enemy field defenses and enemy vehicles. This kit includes T-wave minesweepers, C4 explosives, and the Blitzer mine- a smart mine armed with a 50lb shape charge and a tungsten kill vehicle in the center- to take apart tanks and helicopters alike. It uses radio proximity via decimeter-long antennas stuck above the soil, which is why Combat Engineers commonly sow barley and wheat as they sow mines. Alternatively, they stick them on the bottom side of manhole covers in urban environments.

Protection[]

Combat Engineers wear the Defender Powered Armor, hardened steel plates backed by Kevlar welded to the frame of a powered exoskeleton crafted by Oceanic Weapons Systems. The powered armor provides the user with protection from 8mm rifle fire. They are also NBC protected.

Locomotion[]

Combat Engineers wear the Defender Powered Armor, which not only serves as good protection from small arms, but also provides them with boosted endurance and strength; they are able to carry around 60-kilo loads for 60-minute sprints without issues. The battery pack provides power for 12 continuous hours.
