Conscripts

Soldiers drawn from the civilian population using previous-generation equipment when war comes knocking on home turf. A full mobilization in the UEC resulted in five million of these grunts.

6 Men/ Squad

Capacity[]

Conscripts carry their ammunition, water pouches, and eating utensils with them. Their squad leader gets a battlefield first aid kit as well.

Sensors[]

Visor-shielded eyeballs, helmet-muffed ears.

Weaponry[]

ASCAR-II (6)[]

The second generation of the ASCAR is the first development of the ASCAR family that accepted the 8mm x 50mm round; the previous ASCAR-I used 5.56mm NATO rounds. The ASCAR-II is a gas-operated 8mm x 50mm assault rifle that has a free-floating barrel and a Milkor Rail above the barrel of the weapon. It also has a retractable and folding stock, which makes it convenient for carry in cramped spaces like APCs.

Upgrades[]

Weaponry[]

Striker-90[]

The Striker-90 is a South African 90mm disposable RPG. The Striker-90 includes a plastic launch tube with flip-up sights that act as a handle in the stowed position, with the trigger hidden until the sights are flipped up. The 90mm Tandem-HEAT solid-fuel rocket is capable of penetrating 1200mm of RHA, which makes it great against vehicles, but they are likely to be shredded by hardkill ECMs on advanced MBTs. One is allotted to each squad member.

Protection[]

Conscripts wear Savior-3 Body Armor, a WW3-era form of ballistic protection that was the earliest design capable of warding off 8mm rounds. Being full-torso armor, it is relatively heavy, yet provides great protection against small arms and shrapnel.

Locomotion[]

Conscripts march on their feet. Which limits them to relatively slow speed and limited endurance, as a short one-week session (or no session at all) of physical training is unable to make them as fit as professional soldiers. Therefore, they are normally transported to their battlefields, which are almost always urban.
