Fist of Hyperion
The poorer the infantry, the more artillery it needs.
-General Koechlin-Schwartz
And my, aren't Karpoi the best cannon fodder around?

Sensory[]
Fist of Hyperion crews rely on their eyes and ears. The Spotter get a good spotter scope, the gun has a decent a panoramic periscopic indirect-fire sight, and of course, they accept fire mission calls on the radio.
Upgrades[]
Direct-fire Optics[]
Fits an auxiliary targeting telescope to the howitzer, allowing it to direct-fire against ground targets. Effective against structures and vehicles.
Armament[]
Denel G7 (1)[]
Directly purchased from Denel, the G7 howitzer is a long-range 105mm towed howitzer. Thanks to a 52-caliber barrel and base-bleed ammunition, the gun has an incredible range of 32km, outranging all 105mm guns and even several 155/2mm designs. It can dump shells filled with 2.5kg of HE accurately on targets more than 30km away.
Upgrades[]
105mm HESH[]
To counter buildings and light vehicles, the G7 can fire HESH rounds. Because the warhead flattens itself before it detonates, it can create massive spalling and effectively smash apart non-flexible materials (such as concrete). Effective when used as direct-fire ammunition.
Protection[]
Fist of Hyperion crews wear old US Army Universal Camouflage Pattern fatigues, and PASGT to protect them against shrapnel.
Upgrades[]
None.
Mobility[]
Although it only weighs 3,800kg, it is still pretty much unmovable by human power alone. Therefore, it commonly gets a Basilisk to tow it, its crew, and its ammunition around.
