Militia

Karpoi

It’s standing Nod policy that if a Brother or Sister is wounded in battle, we leave them be until we can recover them safely. No heroics. It'll simply cost us more men trying to recover the wounded in battle, and we've got the manpower to replace the injured if they die in the meantime. If there are three things the Brotherhood has in plentiful supply, those are Tiberium, hate, and manpower.

- Tiberium Wars

Grain Spirits. Meaning, there's a lot of them.

Meaning, cannon fodder.

Sensory[]

Eyes and ears, completely out in the open.

Upgrades[]

None.

Armament[]

AK-47 (6)[]

Beginning as the humble hobby of a wounded tank crewman, the AK-47 has since risen to become the most popular assault rifle of all time. Rugged, reliable, and incredibly easy to manufacture, the AK-47 has been copied and improved the world over. The rifles used by Karpoi are either bought or manufactured in the Lawless Zones. The majority of their rifles are Type 56s AK-clones built by the PRC-era NORINCO.

Field Defenses[]

The following are field defenses that Karpoi are able to construct on their own.

  • Sandbag Wall—a pile of 36cm by 66cm sandbags, laid two sandbags deep and twelve sandbags high. This provides infantry with a makeshift wall capable of effectively dissipating the blast of HE, and is just thick enough to block small arms fire.

Upgrades[]

Suicide Vest (1)[]

Because they come in overwhelming numbers and are trained fanatically, Karpoi can receive vest-IEDs that are very effective against both personnel and vehicles. Packing about 10kg of explosives, the manually-detonated vest is useful in kamikaze attacks on higher-value targets. Detonation results in losing the squad and everything nearby.

RPG-7 (1)[]

For anti-vehicle firepower, Karpoi can get an RPG-7/clone. Firing the PG-7V 85mm supra-caliber HEAT round, it can penetrate up to 290mm or RHAe. If the copies are produced locally, that penetration is reduced to 260mm RHAe (thanks to using steel as warhead liner).

Protection[]

1950s-era camouflage fatigues, some sewn locally. Some get locally-produced/copied Soviet Ssh-40 steel helmets, which can stop shrapnel and serve as a nice pot when cooking.

Upgrades[]

None.

Mobility[]

Karpoi march on their feet, and since Mechanization prioritizes higher-value infantry, they commonly go around tank descanting and running on their feet.

Upgrades[]

Combat Drugs[]

To ensue maximum combat effectiveness, Karpoi can receive combat drugs before combat. Consisting of alcohol (to suppress fear and sanity) and a cell oxidizer (to enhance muscle response), they can completely disregard self-preservation and attack anything they're ordered to attack, regardless of whether or not they can take the target out.
