Lycanthropes

This is a third generation exo-suit. Hook this up to your nervous system, it'll make you as strong as a droid. You're already under the knife, eh?

Armament[]

Hyperion's Heat (2)[]

Lycanthropes carry two exoskeleton-mounted flamethrowers, called Hyperion's Heat by the GAC. Each individual weapon is equipped with two cylindrical containers that carry 20 liters of napalm and 5 liters of pressurized liquid nitrogen, respectively. The weapon can spew napalm at targets up to 30m away. One is mounted on each forearm.

White Phosphorous Payload[]

For enhanced incendiary power, the flamethrowers can replace napalm with white phosphorous mixed into polyisobutylene. When it burns spontaneously upon contact with oxygen, it can reach temperatures of past 2700 degrees Celsius. Extremely potent against nearly all targets, hot enough even to melt most metals, if exposure time is long enough.

Rocket Payload[]

For more dedicated anti-vehicle firepower, Lycanthropes can mount disposable AT12T 120mm tandem-HEAT rockets under their forearms. Built locally by ex-Bofors engineers, the weapon can reach out to a maximum of 300m and penetrate an amazing 800mm of RHAe.

Last Stand[]

To ensure a glorious death, Lycanthropes can mount a heavily protected (i.e. worn behind body armor) 10kg suicide vest. Set to detonate upon sensing that the operator has gone into cardiac arrest for over 120 seconds or detonated by the operator himself, the bomb can eradicate nearby infantry as well as the Lycanthropes.

Protection[]

Lycanthropes are armored with 25mm of molybdenum-iron hardened steel armor plating, with Kevlar liner. These plates are bolted onto the operative's exoskeleton, forming improvised powered armor. NBC protection and heat-resistant suits are also standard. This protects them from all small arms, although large-caliber anti-material rounds are capable of punching through.

Applique Armor[]

To counter anti-material snipers, Lycanthropes can obtain bolt-on blocks of ceramic-and Kevlar plating, increasing protection by a wide margin. Protects them from anything up to 12.7mm SLAP.

Mobility[]

Lycanthropes march on their feet, and due to being awfully large in their powered armor, don't get mechanization. Their surgically-implemented invasive neural-controlled exoskeletons are powered by a pair of removable/rechargeable lithium polymer batteries, providing the operative with 8 hours of run time.
